Directors Steve Barron and Katherine Churcher and Director of Photography, Trevelyan Oliver, created such a fun and collaborative environment to work in. We crafted a rich, and warm palette for the series to show off the best of the verdant English countryside and village scapes in and around Marlow, where the series takes place and we really pushed the denouements which, creatively, was a lot of fun.”
From Colourist Paul Harrison: “It was great to work with director Steve Barron and to collaborate again with DOP Trevelyan Oliver on Marlow murder club. Capturing that quintessentially English countryside feel with ever changing weather is always interesting. The grade presented a few challenges, one being a whole day for night sequence that now sits in seamlessly; the flow of the story meant we had licence to really use colour and light to really help the narrative.”
