Paul Harrison on crafting the grade: “What a fantastic project to work on, directed by one of the loveliest people in TV, Susan Tully. The series is highly emotional at times, and we didn’t want the grade to get in the way of the performance of Suranne Jones or Eve Best. We kept it to a fairly naturalistic look, using the cinematographer’s work as our guide. The light and locations provided the rich palette, in the grade we enhanced rather than overpowered it.”
